Assemble and Disassemble Nature

Assemble Order from the Natural

There is a sense of calm and comfort when we see things in an orderly fashion. Swiss artist Ursus Wehrli explores everyday scenes of disorder and rearranges them in perfect, organized rows. The rows are assorted by differences in color, size, shape, and even type with the Alphabet soup example. These great examples can be found in his new book The Art of Clean Up. Interestingly enough, those ordinary objects will appear chaotic when it's pieces are disassembled and rearranged in an orderly way. The stars are my favorite.

Disassemble the Natural - A new form of Beauty

This is another example of disassembling the natural. Artist Qi Wei redefines beauty in his “Exploded Flowers” series. This form of deconstruction creates a new beautiful asethetic. These flowers are taken apart from every petal, stamen and pistil, and then neatly arranged in full bloom.
