Discovering Joy

by andrew • January 26

We were ecstatic to join Joy Mangano in celebrating the recent launch of her brand at the flagship Macy's on 34th street in New York. It was thrilling to see a year's worth of positioning, branding, and packaging reach the public. All the hard work paid off as the audience carried products away by the armful and snatched products off display tables faster than they could be re-stocked. It was a true rockstar experience as fans lined up to meet and get one-on-one time with the powerhouse inventor.

Joy's brand launch coincides with the release of a biopic about her life, "Joy," starring Robert De Niro, Bradley Cooper, and Jennifer Lawrence and directed by Oscar-nominated writer/director David O. Russell. Responsible for $3 billion worth of products sold over the course of 23 years, Joy Mangano has become the commanding figure in the world of shopping networks. She holds more than 100 patents and has invented the non-slip Huggable Hangers, the wrinkly-defeating My Little Steamer, and most importantly the Miracle Mop, the original self-wringing, machine washable mop.

Check out Joy's products for yourself at Target, Macy's, The Container Store, and Bed Bath & Beyond nationwide.
