Decodence at the Seaport Museum

by julia • March 6

We were partying it up at the opening of theĀ DECODENCE exhibit at theĀ Seaport Museum last week and highly recommend you go check it out.

We've been working with the Museum on a rebranding project (more on that soon) to get them onto the radar screen of NYC culture mavens, history buffs, parents and educators. It is an eclectic collection of galleries, boats, printing shop and historic buildings located downtown on Fulton St.

DECODENCE is a wonderful exhibit about the SS Normandie, the most luxurious cruise ship of the 1930's, an art deco masterpiece and travel mode du jour for the big names of the time. The opening party brought some 2010 decodence to the museum that felt like a marvelous escape from our decidedly tough times. Jeremy Scott designed a t-shirt that's selling like hot cakes. You can pick one up for $30 at the museum store.
